Xi Jinping Ends First India Visit in Seven Years

Chinese President Xi Jinping visited India for the first time in about seven years.

He attended a BRICS meeting in New Delhi.

He also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They talked about trade, terrorism and problems involving their shared border.

They said India and China should treat each other as partners instead of rivals.

They agreed that disagreements should not turn into bigger disputes.

Both sides also discussed making trade and supply chains fairer and more predictable.

Xi asked BRICS countries to work more closely with emerging markets and the Global South.
