Calcutta HC directs CBI report on RG Kar rape-murder conspiracy
A doctor who worked at a hospital in Kolkata was harmed very badly and did not survive.
Special detectives called the CBI are trying to find out exactly what happened and who was involved.
A court called the Calcutta High Court is watching over the investigation to make sure it is done fairly.
Two judges told the CBI to write a progress report about its investigation into a possible conspiracy.
The report must be given to the court by August 28.
The CBI has already shared some information about the evidence it has collected.
The judges said the investigation must not be derailed or messed up.
A special three-member CBI team is looking into everything that happened from the night of August 9, 2024, until the doctor's cremation.
The doctor's parents say that some evidence was destroyed and that some people tried to make the incident seem less serious than it was.
The court wants the truth to come out so that justice can be done.
The Calcutta High Court directed the CBI to file a progress report on August 28 on its investigation into the alleged conspiracy in the rape and murder of an on-duty doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
