BRS Urges Congress Education on Kaleshwaram Project
B. Vinod Kumar is a leader of the BRS party in Telangana.
He asked the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee to teach Congress members about the Godavari and Krishna rivers.
He visited a water project called Kaleshwaram and said the state ministers don’t know enough about it.
He said most of the project is still working, but a lot of water is wasted.
He wants a pump called Kannepally to move water from the Godavari to help people get drinking water later.
BRS leader B. Vinod Kumar asked TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud to run an awareness program for Congress MLAs on the Godavari and Krishna rivers.
He visited Yellampalli backwaters, inspected Gayatri and Nandi pump houses as part of the Kaleshwaram Bata programme.
He criticized state ministers for lacking understanding of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project and questioned water lifting operations.
He claimed 95% of the Kaleshwaram project remains operational, yet 5 lakh cusecs of water passes Medigadda unused.
He urged operating the Kannepally pump house to lift Godavari water to Yellampalli to prevent future drinking water shortages.
