Andhra Pradesh Raises Government Job Age Limit To 44
The Andhra Pradesh government changed the age rules for some government jobs.
People can now apply for many non-uniformed government posts until they are 44 years old.
These recruitments may be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission or other agencies.
One earlier age limit was raised from 34 to 44 years.
Another age limit for non-uniformed services was raised from 42 to 44 years.
The new rule is meant for upcoming recruitments.
It does not cover jobs where employees wear uniforms.
Police, Excise, Fire, Prisons, Forest and Transport posts are excluded.
This means the older age limit remains relevant for those uniformed jobs.
The Andhra Pradesh government has issued two orders raising the upper age limit for public-service recruitment to 44 years.
The relaxation applies to non-uniformed services recruited through the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission and other agencies.
For other government job recruitments, the maximum age limit has increased from 34 to 44 years.
The existing upper age limit for non-uniformed services has also increased from 42 to 44 years.
The change excludes uniformed posts in Police, Excise, Fire, Prisons, Forest and Transport departments.
