Karnataka Cabinet Clears Public Space Use Bill; Leaders Debate

People in Karnataka use public spaces like parks, streets, and grounds for many activities.

The state government has made a new rule called the Public Space Use Bill to control how these spaces are used.

Before it can become a law, a group of important government leaders called the Cabinet said yes to it.

Priyank Kharge, a minister, says the rule follows what the Supreme Court and High Court have told the government.

He also said that if there are problems with the rule, they will fix them.

But Tejasvi Surya, a member of Parliament, is worried about the rule.

He says the Constitution of India lets people meet and form groups freely.

Some people think the rule is good because it keeps public spaces safe and organized.

Others think it might take away people's rights.

The leaders are still discussing it, and the rule may change before it becomes a law.
