Neeraj Chopra's Stellar 2025: 90m Milestone and End of Streak
Neeraj Chopra, a famous Indian javelin thrower, had an amazing year in 2025.
He finally threw the javelin over 90 meters, which is a big deal.
He won many competitions and set new records.
However, his incredible streak of always finishing in the top two ended when he came in eighth place at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Despite this, he still had a great year and was even given an honorary rank in the army.

He achieved a personal best and national record with a 90.23m throw at the Doha Diamond League in May.
Chopra won multiple events, including the Neeraj Chopra Classic, Paris Diamond League, and Ostrava Golden Spike.
He was conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army by the Union Defence Minister.
Chopra is the first Indian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field.
