Delhi University placement drive draws 500 participants, 75-plus recruiters
Delhi University held a big job fair for its students.
It was called the Placement Drive 2026.
More than 75 companies came to meet the students.
Over 500 students took part.
The job fair was held on a Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Students could talk directly with people who hire workers.
They could also meet professionals and get career advice.
Companies from education, health, tourism and other fields attended.
The event was open to students in tourism management, social sciences and other programs.
The university says it wants to hold more events like this to help students find jobs.
Delhi University's Department of Continuing Education and Extension organized 'Placement Drive 2026' on Saturday, August 8, with more than 75 organisations and over 500 participants.
The drive was held from 11 am to 4 pm at the department's seminar room in collaboration with the Centre for Distance and Online Education.
It was open to students of MA Tourism Management, MA Lifelong Learning and Extension, social science departments, and the Centre for Distance and Online Education.
Recruiters came from sectors including education, social development, health, research, human rights, tourism and hospitality, with organisations such as Janhit Society for Social Welfare, Child Survival India and Uma Tourism and Holidays participating.
The event featured direct recruiter interactions, networking with industry professionals and career guidance, and the university plans to organise similar employment-oriented initiatives regularly.
