Delhi University Placement Drive 2026 Draws 500 Students, 75 Employers
The University of Delhi, a big group of colleges in India, wanted to help its students find jobs.
So it held a special event called a placement drive, where companies and student job-seekers meet each other.
More than 75 companies and organisations came to this event.
About 500 students joined to talk with them.
The students learned about different kinds of jobs and met people who work in many fields.
The organisations worked in areas like education, healthcare, research, and travel.
Students studying tourism and social science were especially invited.
The students talked with company workers, got career advice, and learned what it is like to work.
The university hopes to hold more helpful events like this in the future.
University of Delhi's Department of Continuing Education and Extension organised 'Placement Drive 2026' featuring more than 75 organisations.
Over 500 participants engaged directly with recruiters from sectors including education, healthcare, research, human rights, tourism and hospitality.
The drive was open to MA Tourism Management and MA Lifelong Learning and Extension students, social science learners and Centre for Distance and Online Education students.
Activities included direct recruiter conversations, networking with industry professionals and career guidance sessions.
The event was held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, and the department plans to conduct similar initiatives regularly.
