Thousands Join Nashik Walkathon Promoting Soil And Water Conservation
Thousands of people in Nashik joined a walk to talk about saving water and soil.
The event was called “Walk for Water.”
It was organised by the Soil and Water Conservation Department.
The walk remembered former Chief Minister Sudhakarrao Naik on his birth anniversary.
Officials said people should use water and soil carefully.
They also asked everyone to help protect these resources for the future.

Thousands of citizens, officials, employees and students joined the “Walk for Water” Maha Walkathon in Nashik.
The Soil and Water Conservation Department organised the event to mark former Chief Minister Sudhakarrao Naik’s birth anniversary.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Pravin Gedam urged citizens to use soil and water carefully and remember the message, “Save Water, Recharge Water.”
Participants took a pledge to conserve water, while officials highlighted watershed development, rainwater harvesting and micro-irrigation efforts.
The walk began and ended at Dongre Vasatigruha Ground, passing through Ashok Stambh; participants were recognised with certificates and lucky-draw prizes.
