Anantapur prioritizes drinking water amid rainfall deficit

In Anantapur, the District Collector O Anand visited important water places to check how ready they are for providing drinking water.

He said that because there hasn't been enough rain, the water from the Tungabhadra reservoir will be used only for drinking.

This means farmers won't get water for their crops, so they are advised to grow certain types of crops and use special watering methods.

Two other officials, HLC SE Sudhakar Rao and RWS SE K Srinivasulu, were with the Collector during his visit.
