Modi urges citizens to join Har Ghar Tiranga movement

India's leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asked everyone in the country to join a special movement called Har Ghar Tiranga, which means 'the flag in every home.'

The Tiranga is another name for India's national flag.

Modi said the flag is a symbol of pride that should inspire people to do their best for the nation.

He also asked everyone to work together to build a better and stronger India, which he calls Viksit Bharat.

This year's campaign is extra special because it honors a famous patriotic song called Vande Mataram.

That song is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

The campaign began in 2022 during India's 75 years of independence celebrations.

This year it runs from August 9 to 17, with leaders holding flag rallies across the country.
