Preeti Pawar is a boxer from India who is also a soldier in the Indian Army.

She just won a gold medal at a big sports event called the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

She was so strong that she did not lose a single round in the whole competition.

Preeti started boxing as a child in Haryana, learning from her uncle.

Before the Paris Olympics in 2024, she got very sick with a liver illness called hepatitis and could not train properly for about two years.

With lots of help, she trained her body and mind to come back even stronger.

She stays calm by doing breathing exercises, picturing herself winning, and making beautiful paper art called quilling.

She even made a paper gift for long jumper Murali Sreeshankar, who inspired her with his own comeback.

Now she is getting ready for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, which start in just over a month.

She wants to win for India and make her fellow soldiers proud.
