Azim Premji Foundation Launches Scholarship for Girls
The Azim Premji Foundation has started a new scholarship for girls.
It is meant to help girls continue studying after school.
Up to 20,000 girls can receive the scholarship this year.
Each selected girl will get ₹30,000 every year.
The money will continue until she finishes her degree or diploma.
To apply, a girl must have studied Classes 10 and 12 in a government school.
Her school must be in one of 21 listed States or Union Territories.
She must also have admission to the first year of a recognised college or diploma course in India.
Applying is free and can be done online through the foundation’s website.
