ACB Registers Two Corruption Cases Against JKAS Officer
The Anti-Corruption Bureau has opened two cases against government officer Sheeba Inayat.
One case says she may have obtained more property and money than her known income could explain.
The listed assets include buildings, land, bank balances, jewellery and insurance-related investments.
The other case concerns the distribution of government foodgrains through the public ration system.
Investigators say food was diverted, records were changed and some government money may not have been properly deposited.
They estimate that the government suffered a loss of more than Rs 2.61 crore.
Searches were carried out at homes and offices connected to the cases.
The allegations are still being investigated and do not by themselves establish guilt.
