Sadhus announce kar seva at Krishna Janmabhoomi on December 6

In India, there is a town called Mathura where many Hindus believe Lord Krishna was born.

A group of holy men, called sadhus and seers, wants to build a grand temple there to honor him.

They announced that volunteers will start building work, called 'kar seva,' on December 6.

The holy men had planned to start on August 9, but they postponed it because of another religious event called the Kanwar Yatra.

December 6 is a special date because it is the anniversary of the demolition of a disputed building in another holy town, Ayodhya, in 1992.

Some people worry that the announcement could disturb peace between different communities.

The police in Mathura are watching carefully and have sent warnings to several religious leaders.

The warnings say the leaders should avoid activities near the site that could disturb harmony and public order.

Pink stones have already arrived in Mathura to be used for building the temple.

The holy men say they ordered about 5,000 tonnes of these special stones from Rajasthan.
