St. Joan’s School Hosts Festive Gala Uniting Students
St. Joan’s School in Kolkata held a big party for its students.
The school’s head, Debjani Ghosh, said the event shows that learning is a shared adventure.
Students showed a short movie about how computers can copy art, and they sang, danced, and even sang in Mandarin.
A Chinese diplomat, Xu Wei, came to watch.
The students also visited an elderly home to perform and give gifts, showing kindness to others.
St. Joan’s School Salt Lake campus hosted a festive gala uniting students from its campus and the New Town branch.
Founder‑principal Debjani Ghosh highlighted the event as a step toward viewing learning as a communal, continuous process.
The program opened with a student‑made short film, “The Stolen Muse,” examining AI’s impact on creativity and ethical use.
Performances included choir, drama, ballet to “Let It Go,” and Mandarin singing, with Chinese Consul General Xu Wei in attendance.
Students also visited St. Joseph’s Home for the elderly, performing cultural activities and presenting gifts.
