Srihari praises Congress welfare schemes, lays foundation for Telangana works
A former leader named Kadiyam Srihari talked about how the Congress government in Telangana is helping poor people.
He spoke in two villages called Station Pendyal and Rampur.
He started some building work there, like new roads and drainage.
The work costs about Rs 2.40 crore.
He said the village is getting Rs 6.40 crore worth of new projects.
The government is also building houses called Indiramma houses for families who live in huts and thatched homes.
Rampur will get 30 houses first and 50 more later.
Across the whole state, the government is building seven lakh houses.
Srihari said the old government did not build the houses it promised.
He asked people to support the government and its leaders.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said the Congress government's welfare and development programmes in Telangana were setting an example for the country.
He laid foundation stones for development works worth Rs 2.40 crore in Rampur village, including roads, drainage and cemetery development.
Srihari said Rs 6.40 crore worth of works had been sanctioned for Rampur in the past four months and assured completion within three months.
He said 30 Indiramma houses were sanctioned for Rampur in the first phase, with 50 more in the second phase, and seven lakh houses sanctioned statewide at a cost of Rs 35,000 crore.
He alleged the previous government failed to provide double-bedroom houses to several villages despite promises, and cited schemes like free bus travel for women and 200 units of free electricity.
