Taliban pushes for closer India ties at Victory Day event

A leader from Afghanistan's Taliban group came to New Delhi, a big city in India.

They held a meeting there to remember a special day from five years ago.

That was the day the Taliban came back to power in Afghanistan.

The Taliban leader in India said Afghanistan wants to be close friends with India.

He said the two countries can help each other and make the region safer.

He also said Afghanistan will not interfere in other countries' business.

He hopes India and Afghanistan will trust each other more and trade together.

Important people from India's foreign office were at the meeting too.

People from many other countries also came.

The Taliban believes India and Afghanistan share a long history and can work together.
