Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Pledges Transparent Exams as Protests Continue

Students in a part of India called Jharkhand are upset about some big tests they have to take.

They think these tests are not fair, so they are asking the government to cancel them and start over.

For three weeks, the students have been gathering to protest and share their feelings.

The leader of Jharkhand, whose name is Hemant Soren, heard their worries.

He promised that the government will work hard to make the tests fair and clear.

He started a special program called 'Chhatron Ki Baat - Chhatron Ke Sath' so students can talk about how to make school and tests better.

He also said that smart and talented students will not be ignored or hurt by bad people.

On the 80th birthday of India's freedom, called Independence Day, the students joined a special march with the Indian flag.

Even though they are still upset about the tests, that day they chose to celebrate their country and did not ask for anything.

The protest is still going on, and the students want to make sure their voices are heard.
