A group of students linked to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad entered Jadavpur University and caused damage.

They threw burning cloth balls toward students inside an administrative building.

Suvendu Adhikari spoke about the incident and blamed Left-wing students and groups he called anti-national.

He said the university did not properly use patriotic symbols and songs.

University teachers said those claims were wrong.
