Panvel Panel Approves Water, Sewage And Safety Projects
Panvel’s civic committee approved many projects to improve local services.
These projects cover water, sewage, cleanliness and public safety.
A pumping station will be built near Dharan Lake in Kalamboli.
Sewage pipelines in Kharghar will be repaired and improved.
The sewage treatment plant in Kamothe will continue to be operated and maintained.
Workers will provide fogging, spraying, road sweeping and drain cleaning.
A special cleanliness drive will also take place across the municipal area.
Water-supply services for 29 villages and Panvel city will receive maintenance contracts.
Panvel Municipal Corporation’s Standing Committee approved multiple civic infrastructure and service proposals on Tuesday.
The approvals include a pumping station at Dharan Lake and protective works at a municipal plot in Kharghar-Kopra.
The panel cleared sewage pipeline repairs in Kharghar and an extension for operating the 85 MLD treatment plant in Kamothe.
Sanitation measures include mechanical fogging, spraying, road sweeping, drain cleaning and an intensive cleanliness drive.
Three-year contracts were approved for water-supply operations serving 29 villages and for maintaining Panvel city’s water network.
