Panvel Panel Approves Security, Sewage and Monsoon Projects
Panvel’s civic committee approved several projects to improve city services.
It extended the contracts of 73 security workers for 11 months.
The committee also approved a new sewage pumping house in Kamothe.
This facility will handle up to 15 million litres of sewage per day.
Water tankers will be hired for three years to help supply drinking water.
A road and drain will be built in part of Kalamboli.
Pumps will be rented to remove rainwater during the monsoon.
CCTV cameras will help watch crowds and traffic during Ganesh idol immersions.
The Panvel Municipal Corporation Standing Committee approved an 11-month extension for 73 security personnel.
A 15 MLD sewage pumping house was approved for construction and five years of operation in Kamothe.
The committee approved additional spending on drinking-water tankers for three years across the PMC area.
Road concreting, drain construction and decorative streetlights were approved for several civic areas.
Monsoon pumps and CCTV arrangements for Ganesh idol immersion sites were also approved.
