Two people who died in a road accident were taken to Zaheerabad Area Hospital.

Their post-mortems had still not happened by Thursday evening.

The families became upset and protested outside the hospital.

Reports said doctors were not available and that a private doctor may have been treating patients.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha asked officials to investigate what happened.

He also spoke with district and health department officials.

The hospital said no private person was used to treat patients.

It said the assigned doctor was absent without permission and another government doctor was brought from Kohir hospital.
