Thai Film Festival Showcases Thailand Through Seven Diverse Films
A Thai cultural group held a film festival at a cinema.
It showed seven movies about different parts of Thailand.
The festival was called “Siam Symphony.”
The movies included stories about romance, family, friendship and music.
Some films showed Thailand’s mountains and floating villages.
The event also had Thai dancers and decorations.
Visitors received paper fans and tasted a traditional sweet called luk chup.
Organisers hoped the films would help Indian audiences learn more about Thailand.
The Royal Thai consulate general held the second Thai Film Festival at Cinepolis, Acropolis Mall.
The three-day festival, themed “Siam Symphony,” featured seven films about Thailand’s heritage, landscapes and culture.
Thai consul general Siriporn Tantipanyathep said cinema could help audiences discover Thailand and its people.
The festival opened with the historical romance Love Destiny and attracted diplomatic, travel and tourism representatives.
Other films included Low Season, Panyi I Sea You, Human Resource, Gohan... Go Home, Timeline: The Letter of Memory and The Overture.
