India’s main stock exchanges will be open on Raksha Bandhan in 2026.

Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 28 August.

They will also be open on Eid-e-Milad, which falls on 26 August.

Some banks will have holidays around these festivals, but stock trading will continue.

The next exchange holiday is Ganesh Chaturthi on 14 September.

The commodity exchanges are also expected to operate on 26 and 28 August.

The exchanges will hold a special Muhurat Trading session on 8 November, even though that date is a Sunday.

The exact time for that special session will be announced later.
