BWF World Championships 2026 Draw: Sindhu Seeded Ninth, Satwik-Chirag Fifth

The BWF World Championships is a big badminton competition for the best players around the world.

Before the games start, a special event called a draw decides who will play whom.

This year, the draw took place in New Delhi, India.

The championships will be played from August 17 to 23 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium.

India has two players or pairs in every one of the five events.

Several Indian players are seeded, which means they are ranked among the top competitors.

PV Sindhu, who has won two Olympic medals, is seeded ninth.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are the fifth seeds in men's doubles.

This is the first time in 17 years that the championships are held in India.

Fans are excited because India has won at least one medal at every World Championships for the last 12 editions.
