The Mumbai Police have arrested a bar owner named Ramesh Shetty and four police personnel from the Anti-Terrorism Cell (ATC) for allegedly stealing and extorting money and gold from a woman named Asma Poly.

Asma, who works at the bar owned by Ramesh, complained that during a police raid at her home, valuable items went missing.

The police officers allegedly asked her to contact her sister in Bangladesh and later extorted money and gold, promising to return her valuables.

The police are still investigating to find out the exact role of each person involved and to recover the missing items.

Another similar case involving the same police personnel is also being looked into.
