Avinash Mohanty Appointed Commissioner of Telangana SAFE

A senior police officer named Avinash Mohanty has been given a very important new job in the Indian state of Telangana.

His new title is Commissioner of TG SAFE, which stands for Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs.

Mohanty is an IPS officer, which means he is a highly trained senior police officer.

Before this job, he was the Director General of the Drugs Control Administration in Telangana.

In his new role, he will be in charge of making sure the food people eat is safe and clean.

He will also help make sure the medicines people take are good and safe.

He will do this new job while also continuing his other work.

The government of Telangana decided to put the Food Safety Department and the Drugs Control Department together under one big office.

That is what TG SAFE is.

Now, one leader will look after both food safety and medicine safety for the state.
