Pakistan Airstrikes in Balochistan Follow BLA Claims of Soldier Deaths
Balochistan is a province in Pakistan, a country in Asia.
Lately, there has been fighting between Pakistan's military and a group called the Baloch Liberation Army, or BLA.
The BLA wants Balochistan to become its own country, separate from Pakistan.
The BLA says it attacked police stations and army targets and killed many soldiers.
In response, Pakistan's air force dropped bombs in places called Surab and Gwadar.
Some reports say the bombs killed civilians, including women and children, but Pakistan's military says it mostly hit militants who were preparing a bomb.
One activist says fighter jets killed at least 30 people, while Pakistan's army says only a few civilians died.
Other bad things also happened, like a gas pipeline blowing up and some miners being kidnapped.

Pakistan's military said 8 militants died in Surab when a bomb they were preparing detonated prematurely and that three civilians also died, with 10 more militants killed as they tried to escape.
The BLA claimed to have killed 38 Pakistani soldiers this month, according to CNN-News18, while WION reported a claim of 32 soldiers killed from August 1 to 8.
Separately, a blast damaged a gas pipeline in Bolan, cutting supply to Quetta, Mastung, Kalat and Ziarat, and seven miners were kidnapped in Chagai district.
The BLA mounted overnight attacks in at least six places as the airstrikes continued, and the story is still developing.
