Five Arrested for Impersonating ACB Officers to Extort Officials
Five people were caught by the police for pretending to be officers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
They called government workers and told them they were in trouble for corruption.
They scared these workers and made them pay money to avoid being arrested.
The main person in the group was Rachampalli Srinivas, and the others were from Karnataka.
They targeted senior government employees and even those about to retire.
The police found out about this gang after one victim, Tummala Jaipal Reddy, reported them.
The gang had already taken more than ₹50 lakh from people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The police are still looking for three more people who are part of this group.
