An investigation found that the staff, including security guards and a regular employee, did not do their jobs properly.
The baby was born dead.

An official inquiry confirmed serious negligence by hospital staff at the District Women’s Hospital in Badaun.
Savita, a resident of Sirsouli village, was left unattended in the hospital gallery and delivered a stillborn baby.
CCTV footage showed that two outsourced security guards and a regular employee failed to assist the woman.
The two security guards were removed from service, and the employee was suspended.
The Chief Medical Superintendent was issued a warning and directed to improve supervision and patient handling.
