Police Arrest Four, Seize ₹94 Lakh Of Mephedrone In Ambernath

Police in Ambernath are investigating a group suspected of supplying an illegal drug called mephedrone.

They have arrested four people during the investigation.

Police say one suspect, Philip Adubuike, is a Nigerian national.

Officers say they found 413 grams of the drug with him in Taloja.

The drugs and other related material were estimated to be worth about ₹94 lakh.

The investigation began after two other men were arrested in an earlier case.

Those men allegedly told police that Shanu alias Shahnawaz Qureshi supplied them.

Police are now trying to find where the drugs came from and who else may be involved.

A court allowed police to question Adubuike until October 2.
