Jet Fuel and Commercial LPG Prices Rise on September 1

Jet fuel became more expensive for airlines from September 1.

Its price rose to ₹121.28 per litre.

Fuel can account for up to 40% of an airline’s operating costs, so airlines may face higher expenses.

Commercial cooking gas also became costlier for businesses such as hotels and restaurants.

A 19-kg cylinder rose by ₹9.50, while a 5-kg cylinder rose by ₹2.

In Mumbai, CNG and household piped gas prices also increased.

The cooking gas used in homes did not become more expensive.

Petrol and diesel prices stayed the same.

These prices are changed each month based partly on international prices and currency exchange rates.
