BJP's Sudhakar Reddy condemns Congress attempts to undermine Vande Mataram
A leader from the BJP party, Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, is upset with the Congress party and its leader Sonia Gandhi.
He thinks they are trying to disrespect a very special Indian song called Vande Mataram.
This song is called the National Song of India.
It was sung long ago by freedom fighters who helped India become free.
Many Indians love this song and feel it is a symbol of devotion to their country, which they call Bharat Mata.
Mr. Reddy says nobody should use the song for political reasons.

He described the National Song as an immortal expression of devotion to Bharat Mata and a sacred symbol of India's freedom struggle, unity and national pride.
He said the historical significance of Vande Mataram should not be subjected to political considerations.
He said the Narendra Modi government had given due recognition to the complete form and historical legacy of Vande Mataram, including guidelines on its rendition on specified occasions.
He asked the Congress leadership to explain its position on the National Song and appealed to citizens, especially the youth, to uphold the spirit of national unity, discipline and patriotism.
He appealed on Independence Day for the legal framework protecting national symbols to be respected, with deliberate insults dealt with according to law.
