India, South Korea Seek Stronger Parliamentary and Cultural Ties
India and South Korea are working to make their relationship stronger.
India’s ambassador met South Korean lawmakers in Seoul.
They talked about working together in parliament, culture and exchanges between people.
He also met the mayor of Pohang to discuss industry, education, tourism and cultural links.
Other meetings focused on trade, supply chains, clean energy and startups.
India and South Korea also discussed advanced science and technology, such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology and space science.
Their diplomatic relationship began in 1973.
The countries have called their relationship a Special Strategic Partnership since 2015.
Indian Ambassador Gourangalal Das met South Korea’s India Parliamentary Friendship Group in Seoul to discuss closer parliamentary, cultural and people-to-people ties.
Das met Pohang Mayor Park Yong-sun on September 9 to discuss industry, education, culture and tourism cooperation.
Discussions with committee chair Kim Seong-won covered economic relations, supply chains, clean energy, and support for small businesses and startups.
Das and Song Ki-heon discussed cooperation in science and technology, including artificial intelligence, quantum technology and space science.
India and South Korea established diplomatic ties in 1973 and upgraded their relationship to a Special Strategic Partnership in 2015.
