GK Energy Wins ₹454.50-Crore Solar Deal for 100,000 Homes
GK Energy has been chosen to help put solar panels on 100,000 homes.
Each home will receive a solar system that can produce 1 kilowatt of electricity.
Together, all the systems could produce 100 megawatts of solar power.
The work is part of a programme run by a state-owned electricity distribution company.
The utility’s name was not disclosed.
GK Energy will design, supply, install, and test the systems.
It will also maintain them for five years.
Each installation must be finished within 60 days after receiving its work order.
GK Energy Limited secured a ₹454.50-crore rooftop solar empanelment, including GST, from an unnamed state government-owned power distribution utility.
The allocation covers 100,000 grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects, each rated at 1 kilowatt.
Together, the installations are expected to add 100 megawatts of distributed solar capacity across 100,000 households.
GK Energy will handle design, engineering, equipment supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of operations and maintenance.
Each project must be completed within 60 days of its respective work order, and the company said the contract is not a related-party transaction.
