Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence wing in Amritsar arrested four people and recovered 20 kg of heroin.
Police said the consignment was sent by drones from across the India-Pakistan border near Rajatal in Tarn Taran district.
The suspects were allegedly transporting the heroin toward Dana Mandi near Satlani Sahib Gurudwara in Amritsar.
Investigators said the module was allegedly operated by a Dubai-based smuggler with Punjab-based and foreign-based associates.
The seizure brought heroin recovered by CI Amritsar to 74 kg in one week; two motorcycles were also impounded.
