Congress rallies behind Rejinagar candidate ahead of crucial bypoll
The Congress party is preparing for an election in Rejinagar.
Its candidate is Mohammed Abdullahi Kafi.

The party also visited its district office in Berhampore.

Kafi will compete against Golam Nabi Azad Robin.
Voting will happen on 6 October, and the votes will be counted on 9 October.
Senior Congress leaders accompanied Mohammed Abdullahi Kafi to file his Rejinagar nomination.
The delegation included Pradesh Congress Committee president Shubhankar Sarkar and All India Congress Committee leaders.
The mobilisation follows Congress’s decision to divide Murshidabad into two organisational districts.
Kafi will face Golam Nabi Azad Robin of the Am Janata Unnayan Party.
The by-election is scheduled for 6 October, with vote counting on 9 October.
