Mumbai is changing where some flights will leave from.

Starting October 1, 2026, about one-third of flights may move from Mumbai Airport to Navi Mumbai International Airport.

From October 25, some flights from Terminal 1 may move to Terminal 2.

These changes are connected to rebuilding the older Terminal 1.

Part of Terminal 1B is also planned for demolition in January 2027.

The reports give two different dates for that demolition: January 1 and January 15.

Navi Mumbai International Airport started international flights on July 15, 2026.
