Akshay Kumar Removes Shoes While Holding Flag on Independence Day

On August 15, India celebrates Independence Day, the day the country became free a long time ago.

That morning, a famous movie star named Akshay Kumar was playing cricket with another actor, Tiger Shroff, in Mumbai.

In the middle of the game, they remembered it was Independence Day.

So they stopped playing and brought the Indian flag to the ground.

There was no flag pole around, so Akshay took off his shoes to show respect.

Then he climbed up on a chair and held the flag high while everybody sang the Indian national anthem.

A video of this went viral on the internet.

Many people praised Akshay for his respectful gesture and called him a true patriot.

Later, Akshay posted a happy Independence Day message online for everyone.
