Young people can apply by writing a paper about their ideas and getting a recommendation from a Council member.

Applications have to be sent by August 18th, and the 11 best speakers will be chosen.

These speakers will record their talks in New Delhi and then present them live on August 23rd.

A very important leader from the Indian government, Anurag Jain, will start the meeting with a big speech.

The speakers will talk about schools, hospitals, climate change, helping villages, and other big topics.

Quotes

Satish Mehta

Convenor, IIT Alumni Social Fund

“wwCONNECT will bring people and institutions from different fields into conversation and prepare the way for the World Wisdom Forum. The aspiration is to bring people from many countries and many fields to New Delhi for a civilisational inquiry into the questions of our time, and what may be carried forward together. We see in it the beginning of a civilisational renaissance.”

“India’s next stage of development will draw on many fields, institutions and forms of capability at once. The IIT Alumni Council sits across an unusually wide range of them. wwCONNECT is an attempt to put that breadth to useful purpose, around questions that no single sector or institution can address on its own.”
