Vermula, Saranya win Asian Junior Blitz titles in Mumbai

In a big chess contest for young players in Mumbai, India, two Indian players won the fastest kind of chess, called blitz.

Blitz chess is very quick, so players must think fast.

Vignesh Vermula won the boys' part even though he was not expected to win.

Saranya Devi won the girls' part, and she was not the favorite either.

Indian players did very well and took all three top prizes in the boys' part.

The contest is called the Asian Junior Chess Championship.

It is happening at a big hotel in Mumbai.

The players came from different countries in Asia.
