MP Governor Rejects Prosecution Sanction for Minister Vijay Shah
Remarks On Col Qureshi: Guv Rejects Prosecution Of MP Minister Shah · deccanchronicle.com

Minister Vijay Shah is facing a case because of remarks he made about Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi.

The remarks were made at a public programme in Madhya Pradesh in May 2025.

The High Court ordered police to register a case.

Shah challenged that order in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court created a special team to investigate the matter and protected Shah from arrest for the time being.

The investigation is now finished.

The state Cabinet recommended not allowing Shah to be prosecuted, and Governor Mangubhai Patel approved that recommendation.

Because permission was refused, investigators may file a closure report instead of a chargesheet.
