The State Bank of India is the biggest bank in the country.

In the April-to-June quarter, it made a profit of Rs 21,121 crore.

That is about 10% more than the same time last year.

The bank earned more money from the interest on the loans it gives out.

It also set aside less money to cover loans that people could not pay back.

Because of this, the bank's bad loans fell to their lowest level in more than twenty years.

The bank's total business crossed Rs 110 lakh crore for the very first time.

SBI's leader, Mr. C S Setty, says the bank expects to keep growing its loans by 14 to 15% this year.

When the results came out, the bank's share price went up on the stock exchange.

“We believe nominal GDP growth would be around 12‑12.5% and SBI has always grown 2‑3% more than that. That’s the reason we have given the credit growth guidance of 14% to 15%.”
