Anmol bows out; Tanvi Sharma advances to Korea Masters quarterfinals

Badminton is a sport where players hit a shuttlecock over a net, and this week many players went to South Korea to play in a big tournament called the Korea Masters.

Indian players were very busy on Thursday.

Anmol Kharb played a very close match against Vu Thi Trang from Vietnam, but lost after three games.

It was a tough loss because Anmol was leading in the first game and later came back with eight points in a row in the final game.

Another Indian player, Tanvi Sharma, played against her teammate Shriyanshi Valishetty and won.

Tanvi had just won a title at the Taipei Open, so she is playing very well.

Three Indian players — Tanvi, Ashmita Chaliha, and Rakshitha Ramraj — made it into the quarterfinals, which is the round of the last eight players.

Two other Indians, Isharani Baruah and Mansi Singh, lost their matches and went home.

The winners will keep playing to try and win the Korea Masters trophy.
