Tanvi Sharma leads Indian charge into Korea Masters quarterfinals

Badminton is a sport where players hit a small shuttlecock over a net.

A group of players from India traveled to South Korea for a big tournament called the Korea Masters.

A 17-year-old player named Tanvi Sharma has been doing really well.

She recently won her first big international title in Taipei.

At the Korea Masters, she played three close games against another player from India named Shriyanshi and won.

Now she is in the quarterfinals, which means she is one of the last eight players left.

Two other Indian players, Rakshitha and Ashmita, also made it to the quarterfinals.

Tanvi will play her fellow Indian Rakshitha next, so an Indian player is guaranteed to reach the semifinals.

Some other Indian players lost their matches and went home.

The tournament is still exciting because India has players competing in women's singles and men's doubles.
