Chennai Super Kings backing helped Ajinkya Rahane reinvent himself

Ajinkya Rahane is a cricketer who plays in the Indian Premier League, a big T20 cricket tournament in India.

For many years, his job on his teams was to bat slowly and carefully, like an anchor, so other players could hit the big shots.

That role meant his batting was not very fast.

In 2023, he joined the Chennai Super Kings team.

The team told him they would support him completely, even if he failed.

Rahane practiced new shots for two months and decided to reinvent himself.
