Macbeth 2.0: Koushik Sen's minimalist Bengali reboot hailed as remarkable
A famous writer named William Shakespeare wrote a very old play called Macbeth.
A theatre director named Koushik Sen made a new Bengali version of this play called Macbeth 2.0.
In the old play, there are many characters, but in this new version there are only Macbeth, his wife Lady Macbeth, and three witches.
The story shows a couple who want to be powerful but are scared and cannot handle their desires.
Only a few actors play all the parts, and the reviewer thinks they are amazing.
The show is 90 minutes long and has a funny character from another Shakespeare play.
A newspaper critic from Telegraph India praised the show very highly.
The play will be shown at the Academy of Fine Arts on August 10 at 7 in the evening.
