West Bengal CM Withdraws Kurmi Cases, Pledges Purulia Investment

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari made several announcements for the Kurmi community and Purulia.

He said cases filed against Kurmis during the earlier government had been withdrawn.

He promised major new investments in Purulia.

The planned investment is worth Rs 1 lakh crore.

A steel factory costing Rs 4,000 crore is also planned.

The government has set aside Rs 50 crore for Kurmi development this year.

Adhikari said the Kurmi Development Board would begin working again.

He also promised steps involving Kurmali language recognition, the Uniform Civil Code, and a new airport.
