Vir Das is a famous comedian from India.

In November 2021 he gave a speech called "Two Indias" at a big theater in Washington, D.C. The speech talked about good and bad parts of India.

Some people in India thought it was rude and filed police complaints.

Because of this, Vir Das lost all his work and money for about two years.

He and his wife moved to Goa and had no steady income.

After a while, he could start working again.

He says he is proud of the speech and thinks it was a good piece of art.

He also says he is still banned from traveling to the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
